Brittany, was a God send. She came into my life when I had low confidence in my ability to actually make it to law school. I was going through the motions but not very motivated or convinced it could be real. She worked with me through LSAT, the Application phase, budgeting for law school and the bar, 1L year, 2L year, 3L year, and the bar. We stay in touch and she even still advises me on my career transition now that I am an attorney. I can absolutely say now that Brittany and the Lord himself helped push me over the finish line in completing and passing the bar the first time. She is such a resource and very passionate about helping others through this rigorous process.
Brittany was so kind and encouraging as we discussed her experience in law school and as a practicing attorney. She was able to relate to me as a first-generation law student and provide me with an accurate glimpse into life as a law student and as an employment lawyer. I am stepping into law school more prepared because of my conversations with Brittany!
I found myself in a very difficult situation after signing a two-year professional contract. The working relationship quickly became unhealthy, and I realized that remaining in that environment for two years would not be sustainable.
BB stepped in at exactly the right time. Everyone told me it would be impossible to end the contract prematurely. But, with wisdom, strategy, and professionalism, she helped me exit the contract early, smoothly, and without harm to my career. Because of her advocacy, I was able to move forward with confidence and pursue better opportunities.
As a Black woman professional, I am aware of how easily our voices can be overlooked or our positions undervalued. Having another strong, capable, and faith-filled Black woman advocate in my corner has been an incredible blessing.
